Realistic criticism of “Dahmer – Monster”

Overall, Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story was made to honestly tell horrific events. The series does not shy away from the graphic representation of the murders, which is difficult not only for the relatives of the victims, but also for all viewers. The court proceedings against Dahmer, some of which were literally copied, were said to shock relatives all over again. The question now is whether such a realistic account of events is necessary. In a promotional video for Netflix, lead actor Evan Peters said they owe it to the victims and their families to try to tell the story as authentically as possible. It is also said that Dahmer’s victims and the trauma of their families were the focus of series creator Ryan Murphy. However, the fact that the production did not contact those involved or the families of the victims to appropriately tell their story speaks volumes. Thus, the realism of Dahmer-Monster is under fire, and the romanticization of well-known serial killers is hotly debated after the release of the miniseries. All the important topics that you should form your opinion on. However, these discussions don’t seem to detract from the series’ success.
