New on Netflix in August 2022: A Glimpse of the Highlights

With over 50 movies and series arriving on Netflix in August, it’s easy to lose track of it. It can be hard to pick out which movies are really worth watching. To give you a little help, we took a closer look at the most valuable titles.

Also present: “Stromberg” star Bjarne Mädel as a German drug dealer who doesn’t always take his work very seriously, Jamie Foxx as a vampire hunter and hardworking father as well as the most famous reptile that New York City’s sewer system has ever been produced.

On August 3rd, German in-house production of “Buba”, a comedy film telling the story of an eponymous drug dealer from “How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)”, began production on Netflix. Bjarne Mädel, better known as Ernie (“Stromberg”) or Schotty crime scene cleaner, slips into the skin of a petite suburban criminal gangster. In the movie, Boba joins the mafia with his manipulative brother. As if that weren’t enough, he’s making life unnecessarily difficult for himself through his somewhat inquisitive karma system.

“Rosy day”

Jamie Foxx plays a Los Angeles vampire hunter who doubles down as a troubled family man who demands an especially difficult balance between work and personal life. While searching for the life of a vicious vampire by night, during the day he tries to raise his daughter’s school fees and bows. The start date is August 12th.

“Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – The Movie”

Arguably the Big Apple’s most famous sewer dweller is back: while ruthless minions from another dimension have come to wreak havoc on the world as we know it, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are being put to the test. Can Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo and their mentor Splinter use their ninjutsu skills to save humanity from destruction once again this time? From August 5 you will find out.
