Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested in 1991 and confessed to 17 murders, 16 of which have been proven. Between 1978 and 1991 he lured young men from the Milwaukee gay scene to his apartment, drugged, abused, and strangled them. Then he made harnesses for the corpses and dismembered them. Because he also practiced cannibalism, the media dubbed him the “Milwaukee Cannibal” or “Milwaukee’s Monster.” Dahmer received several life sentences for his crimes, but was murdered by another inmate at the age of 34.

“Dahmer”: This is why relatives criticize Netflix for the series

While true crime series ‘DAHMER’ is making a splash on Netflix, relatives are busy tackling the true events of a report by… star As dissatisfied. Rita Espel, the sister of the murdered man, Errol Lindsey, has criticized the Netflix series for not getting along with the loved ones and families involved.

I have not been contacted about the series. I feel like Netflix should have asked us if we had a problem with it or how to deal with it. They didn’t ask us for anything, they just did.

At that time, she gave emotional testimony in court, which also appeared in the series. In 1991, at the age of 19, Jeffrey Dahmer drugged her brother Errol Lindsay with sleeping pills, strangled him with a leather belt and then filmed himself dismembering his body. According to the report, Ispel wanted at least monetary compensation: “It’s sad that they are only making money from this tragedy.”

Her cousin, Eric Berry, also criticized the series on Twitter: “I don’t tell anyone what he’s watching. I know True Crime is huge, but if you really care about the victims, my family (Isbells) is pissed off about this show. We get traumatized over and over – and why How many films/series/documentaries do we need?”

He also criticizes the fact that the Netflix series is financially enriched by their suffering without relatives getting anything from it. In his opinion, the bereaved would have at least liked to know in advance that there must have been another series about Jeffrey Dahmer at all. “My family was told about the show when everyone else was,” Eric Berry says.
