“Don’t Worry Baby”, “Lunch Hour” and “Peter Von Kant”

Thursday is movie day: but the range of new movies this week is slim. After all, “Don’t Worry Baby” with Florence Poe and Harry Styles should attract a larger audience.

Thursday is movie day: but the range of new movies this week is slim.

Is it still worth going to the movies? By subscribing to live streaming, movie fans now get their money’s worth. There are five new strips to discover in the next few days on Netflix alone.

In cinemas there is little going on, documentaries are ignored. “Don’t Worry Baby,” starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles, is probably the only one that has everything it takes to become a huge box office hit. For the film industry to survive in the long term, more reboots are definitely needed. On September 22 it remains as follows.

Don’t worry my dear

Don’t Worry Darling is the second feature film for actress Olivia Wilde, who also plays a supporting role in the elegant mystery thriller. It tells the story of housewife Alice (Florence Beau) who lives with her husband Jack (Harry Styles) in an elegant desert settlement founded by Frank (Chris Pine). But what at first glance seems like the splendor of the 1950s quickly turns into a nightmare. Because Alice begins to ask unwelcome questions – about Jack’s work on the mysterious Victory Project, a mysterious plane crash and strikingly similar dating stories of couples who are friends. When she can’t stop looking for answers, her life becomes very uncomfortable.

Peter von Kant

With “The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant” German director Rainer Werner Fassbinder brought his play of the same name to the big screen. After 50 years, a new interpretation of the substance by the Frenchman François Ozon appeared in the cinema. Turns out, “Peter von Kant” is a very special tribute to Fassbinder. The main character is now masculine and based on the director himself: Denis Menouche plays the moody director Kant, who takes the young actor Amir (Khalil al-Gharbiyi) as his mistress. Emotional feelings take a negative turn when his lover becomes a celebrity through contact. With his tantrums, Kant alienates all who mean anything to him.
