The Pass, Season 2, awarded in two major categories

Der Pass Season 2 receives the 2022 German Television Award in the categories of “Best Director of Fantasy” (Cyril Boss and Philip Steinert) and “Best Fantasy Camera” (Philippe Bitchell).

“Der Pass (https://www.sky.de/serien/der-pass)”, Season 2, took home awards in two major categories at this year’s German Television Awards 2022 on Wednesday, September 14 in Cologne. The eight-part crime series won the prestigious awards for “Best Fantasy Director” (Cyril Boss and Philip Steinert) and “Best Fantasy Camera” (Philip Pitchell).

The first season of “Der Pass” won many famous awards, including the Grimme Award in the “Fantasy” category (2020), the German Television Award in the “Best Drama Series 2020”, and the Golden Camera for “Best Series”. (2019) and Rummy in the categories of “Best TV Series” and “Best Movie TV Producer” (2019). Both seasons can be watched on Sky, where “Der Pass” is one of the biggest cult crime series in German from the entertainment provider.

About “Passport”:

In the second season of “The Passport,” the son of a powerful family becomes a killer while his older brother goes to extremes to protect him and his family. When the bodies of young women are repeatedly found in the border region, a team of German and Austrian investigators are tasked with tracking down an increasingly brutal and unscrupulous serial killer. Still reeling from the events of the Krampuskiller affair, Eli Stoker also has a competition from ambitious young colleague Yela Antic and soon meets an old acquaintance – Gedeon Winter.

Julia Jensch and Nicholas Ovezkirk can be seen again in the lead roles. “The Passport” is a television production by W&B. Producers are Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann, co-executive producer is Laura Mihajlovic. The series was commissioned by Sky Studios in co-production with epo-film. On behalf of Sky, Quirin Schmidt is responsible for the series as executive producer.

The second season of “Der Pass” was funded by FilmFernsehFonds Bayern (FFF), German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF), Fernsehfonds Austria (RTR) and the state of Salzburg.

The film “Der Bass” for the third season is currently being filmed in Bavaria and Austria.
