German Television Award 2022: WDR is pleased to submit seven nominations

Der WDR geht beim 23. Deutschen Fernsehpreis mit sieben Nominierungen in Rennen: Nominiert sind ‘Die Carolin Kebekus Show’ in zwei Kategorien, der Talk ‘maischberger’, die Produktion ‘Markus Feldenkirchen trifft Robert Kroe d’Intion Labeck/Kodrl Körl Habeck ‘A whole life’. The winners will be announced on September 13 and 14 in Cologne – and for the first time the award ceremony will take place on two consecutive days.

These are the nominations

“Caroline Quebecos Show” (Moderation: Carolin Kebekus, Production: bildundtonfabrik and EntertainmentFlotte TV on behalf of WDR; Editor: Leona Frommelt, WDR) Nominated in two categories this year: as such ‘Best Comedy / Late Night And with lead author Claudius Bling in this category Best entertainment book.

On “The Carolin Kebekus Show,” the Comedy Queen offers a satirical view of current events – through pauses, deeply thematic pieces as well as funny, gossipy clips. There are also talks with first-class guests, games and musical performances, with Caroline Quebecos accompanied by her studio band.

A new season of ‘The Carolin Kebekus Show’ will start from October 20, 2022 at ARD Media Library and in writing on Thursday at 10:50 PM on the first. Episodes recur Monday on WDR TV and Friday on ONE. The format also has its own broadcast channels on Twitter and Instagram.

Author Markus Feldenkirchen exclusively accompanied politicians with his camera and created a mixture of press reports, live chats and his own commentary with photos. At the last meeting, he finally confronted the politicians with his cinematic image. Judgment Feldenkirchen is honest, open and not always pleasant to his interlocutor.

“A Life Long” is produced by Flare Film GmbH on behalf of West German Broadcasting for Das Erste, Editing Götz Bolten (WDR). The film tells the story of 75-year-old Arthur (Henry Hopchen) and his wife Elsa (Corina Kirchhoff), 10 years his junior, who spent happy hours in a lakeside house. The couple are now separated and Arthur suffers from dementia. But despite all the bitterness, Elsa feels responsible for Arthur, she takes care of a place in a nursing home. In order to be able to fund this, the house on the lake would have to be sold – albeit against Arthur’s will.

The German Television Prize 2022 is awarded in a total of 30 categories. An independent expert jury, again headed by producer Wolf Bauer, decides to select the nominees and award winners.
