Time and time again on Sundays, we bring you the hottest Netflix launches for the next week, ordered by days of the week. The highlight of the next few days is sure to be Season 5 of “Élite,” but movie fans will also get their money’s worth and the collaboration between the makers of “Game Of Thrones” and Netflix pays off.
Here are the highlights of the week on Netflix, April 4-10, 2022:
Monday: Renewal of the series from Korea
“Squid Game” was a very popular South Korean series on Netflix, but it’s by no means the only Korean title available there. Today begins the romantic series “Business Proposal”, in which a woman meets her boss on a date.
Tuesday: Lots of Dutch movies
Netflix likes to get movies in bundles from other European countries to then publish on the streaming service without much celebration. Four Dutch titles, Adios Amigos, Homies, Het Leven Is Vurrukkulluk and Heksen Bestaan Niet, as well as new Korean series Black Dog, await us on Tuesday.
Wednesday: Cinemas from Hollywood and Germany
One of Chadwick Boseman’s latest films, who died in 2020, begins on Netflix Wednesday: In “21 Bridges,” the “Black Panther” star plays a policeman who searches for a gang of thieves and murderers on a closed island. Manhattan. Also in attendance: Marvel stars JK Simmons and Taylor Kitsch.
There are also two German films: the spy thriller “Luna,” about a teenage girl who swears revenge after her parents’ murder and teams up with a fellow agent’s father. On the other hand, Béla Kiss Prologue is a horror movie about five bank robbers who hide in a hotel inhabited by a notorious serial killer: Béla Kiss.
Thursday is a documentary day
Two new documentaries will debut on Netflix on Thursday: “Return to Space” about Elon Musk and his space company SpaceX, and “Senzo Meyiwa” about the murder of the South African soccer star of the same name. And if you include Wednesday’s true crime format “Jimmy Savile: British Horror Story,” documentaries fans can look forward to three reboots.
Friday: “Elite” and more
Friday is usually Netflix’s biggest launch day, and this week is no different. So you can expect season 5″elite‘, where the trials and tribulations of students’ lives at Las Encinas Private School are chronicled.
The Netflix films “The In Between” and “Metal Lords” have a certain theme because they are also about youth and school: in “The In Between”, Tessa (“Kissing Booth” star Joey King) receives letters from her deceased love. And in “Metal Lords” by “Game Of Thrones” creators DB Weiss and David Benioff, three teens want to win a music competition with their heavy metal band.
There are also more movies and series seasons waiting for you on Friday – you better keep your eyes open on Netflix.
