Several changes are coming for Sky subscribers. Football fans should particularly benefit from the new program structure.
Munich – A few weeks ago, Sky announced that Sky Ticket would become “Wow”. Now it seems that the presenter is turning the entire structure of the program upside down. The sports broadcaster is also affected. The station announced in a press release that there are new stations and previous stations are being reorganized.
So Sky starts the new Sky Sport Top Event channel. This channel is said to be a premium channel with the ‘best content’ from Sky Sports. Also new are the 24-hour Sky Sport Premier League channels, Sky Sport Tennis and Sky Sport Golf. Like Sky Sport F1 before, these channels target subscribers who are viewers only interested in a sport.
Sky Sport Bundesliga and Formula 1 will remain
The company said Sky Sport Bundesliga, Sky Sport F1 – Formula 1 – and Sky Sport News will remain in place. Sky Sport Mix is also new – with this offer, Sky viewers can watch the DFB Cup, HBL, NHL and Diamond League. If several sports transfers occur at the same time, then the feeding channels from 211 to 230 will still be present.
In addition to launching new broadcast formats, selected channels will also change their broadcast slot. The non-stop Bundesliga channel “Sky Sport Bundesliga” is fixed at slot 202. The Sky Sport F1 motorsport channel moves from slot 201 to slot 203. Sky Sport UHD changes from slot 202 to slot 209.
Sky boss wants to go deeper with the extra broadcast space
“By reorganizing the channel structure, we are making it easier for our sport-loving customers to find their favorite sport,” believes Charlie Claassen, Head of Sports at Sky Germany. In addition, Sky can go even deeper with an additional broadcast area to be able to show sports 24 hours a day on eight channels. With Sky Sport F1, the best experience has led to the expansion of this type of channel to other sports, Klassen continued.

Sky Sports: Football fans have to pay more and more for their favorite sport
When asked if Sky will also become more expensive with the conversion, Sky Chairman Charly Classen replied Build I decided “no”. At the moment, the “Bundesliga” and “Sports” packages together cost only €23.50 per month. The WOW live sports show is available from € 24.99 per month.
Football fans who want to spend money at the table for their sport are criticizing the fact that they have to get more and more Sky subscriptions in order to be able to watch their favorite sports live on TV. This is sometimes expensive. This is hard to understand when you have to subscribe to up to six channels. And that’s exactly where Sky wants to start converting. You can also access DAZN and Amazon Prime subscriptions via Sky Q, according to Classen Build. And all this via the voice remote control.
Claassen evasively answered whether the Champions League will return to heaven for the foreseeable future Build. “We look at each right very carefully.” As Head of Sports, he wished for a Champions League title at Sky. But as with desires. They cost a lot of money (watch the video). So far, rival DAZN has been at the top of the game and has taken all the rights to the Champions League.
