Now that players are quickly getting to work with the Voyage to the Sunken City card set for Blizzard’s deck-building strategy game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, the California developer is waiting for their next deck of cards to offer. This time, the ocean theme has been replaced by the crime theme as players head to Castle Nathria to solve the crime case related to the murder of Sire Denathrius. Just to be clear, there won’t be any real detective action here, it’s simply the subject of the newer deck of cards known as Murder in Castle Nathria, which actually contains some very exciting new additions.
First, let’s talk about the numbers related to this new group. Will be 135 new maps This will include a few different surprises and new mechanics that will encourage even the most diverse deck makers to reconsider their strategies. As with Hearthstone’s new card decks, this expansion rewards players with instant access to an all-new Legendary card, Prince Renethal, upon login, a card that will allow players to build their decks for the first time in Hearthstone’s history from 30 to 40 cards total.
Now, you might think that this is a huge deal, as it basically means that every player who uses Prince Renethal gains 10 extra health, and while that’s true, the extra cards you hold can also be used against your ability to get out quickly, the hard hits will do damage since you’re drawing from a deck Much larger and likely to contain fewer deadly and destructive cards than a smaller deck. But you might like that extra deck slot, since Murder at Castle Nathria also brings a point of new card types and a new keyword.
This new map type allows players to virtually drop locations onto the game board themselves. These games are played similar to minions but behave like amateurs and are generally rather weak and easy to destroy, although they offer great in-game rewards. It should be noted that these cards have a cooldown of one turn and reduced stamina, which means that you have to be increasingly careful about the way you play and use them in battle.
To keep up with the addition of sitemaps, Blizzard is also adding a new keyword, Infuse. This is a direct reference to the Shadowlands spirit resource and allows players to harness the anima essence of defeated cards to transform active cards into more powerful versions of themselves. We were told that if you could keep these cards full of anima and keep feeding them the anima until they were completely transformed, the card artwork would turn into something completely new.
But of course that’s not all the new content that comes with the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion. total will be Ten new legendary cards (one per chapter), and there will be a return of Morlock Holmes. Blizzard has not released the complete map list for the Murder at Castle Nathria collection, but the developer has set a release date for the expansion, which will be August 2, 2022. If so, expect more news regarding this upcoming expansion soon.
