Siemens Digital Industries Software announces that the latest version of Siemens’ NX product development software provides more possibilities for collaborative electronic design, collaboration, intelligent collection and information reuse. This enables development managers in all industries to increase their productivity and efficiency in their development departments.
“This latest release delivers improvements for our users across the board,” said Bob Haubrooke, Senior Vice President, Product Engineering Software, Siemens. “These enable multidisciplinary teams to work smarter, capture and reuse more knowledge, and achieve optimal design outcomes more efficiently than ever before. In addition to all-new features, our significant investments in core technologies like Sketcher and convergent modeling will continue to improve tools . ” of posts.
Knowledge is recycled
Leveraging electrical and electronic expertise in partnership with Siemens EDA (formerly Mentor Graphics), NX expands electronic design collaboration capabilities with a robust workflow for both fixed and flexible PCB designs. This is especially important in view of the increased complexity of the product and the increased density of packaging. Code-free approach feature templates reuse knowledge contained in NX data during creation. This is a major upgrade to custom features and expands the ability to reuse data from purely modular engineering features to PMI, requirements testing, and more. The main benefit lies in the effective reuse of knowledge and better collaboration between the design and development teams.
The program paves the way for complex patterns
No matter what industry customers operate in, aesthetic quality is now just as important as functionality, efficiency and performance. The latest version of NX offers new tools for developing the high-quality templates that product designers need and demanded by their customers. This includes updated curve generation and editing with parametric capabilities, and NX algorithm modeling, which better supports convergent modeling workflows and provides more efficient paths to complex patterns and shapes.
It replaces the NX Topology Optimizer and overrides the optimization features previously available in NX. Micro-optimization in the context of assembly now takes into account design and fabrication limitations and allows simultaneous optimization of multiple design spaces using independent materials.
The recently launched NX Design Space Explorer for multi-parameter optimization also includes support for multiple lanes to set zones and improve search. Simcenter Heeds calculation options are now fully integrated and include prime, random, and normalization factors. This allows customers to benefit from cost and time savings by automating complex optimization tasks, helping them speed up time to market in the product development design phase.
Engineers can react quickly to design changes
“Today’s mechanical products are complex and engineers need to integrate mechanical, electrical and electronic components. Gathering data from each of these disciplines can create design friction that needs to be resolved quickly,” said Arvind Krishnan, industry analyst at Lifecycle Insights. Fan in electronic enclosure. Engineers benefit from working in a collaborative environment. “This allows the mechanical engineer responsible for fan and chassis design to respond to changes in electronic board design and vice versa. NX provides electromechanical design tools that seamlessly combine the disparate needs of the mechanical, electrical and electronic disciplines in this tightly integrated collaborative environment.”
