Digital Day in Ravensburg offers an exciting program

Ravensburg – The City of Ravensburg is taking National Digital Day on June 24 as an opportunity to provide insight into the broad field of digitization. With numerous campaigns and free lectures in the Schwäbisch Media and Tourist Info rooms, Ravensburg offers the interested and curious a stage for participation, discussion and experience. The exciting program takes a look at the hypothetical future – its opportunities and challenges.

The Digital Day is open to all: entrepreneurs, associations, initiatives, public actors as well as young people and adults who want to know how digitization can change lives. The majority of the free programme, developed by the City of Ravensburg together with its cooperation partners Wirtschaftsforum pro Ravensburg (Wifo), Schwäbisch Media and RaumZeit, will take place from 9am at the Schwäbisch Media headquarters. The tourist information at Marienplatz 35 is the focal point for two tourist experiences.

Almost try Ravensburg

The virtual sightseeing trip over Ravensburg is undoubtedly one of the great attractions to have an experience factor in the digital day. You can also take a virtual journey back in time to 1429 using virtual reality glasses at Tourist Info and follow the stories of the amazing flour sacks. The Guided Tour using the Ravensburg GO app and the Virtual City Tour via Ravensburg provide digital city experiences. With a 360-degree tour, it lights up the most beautiful places in the city. Embark on a digital journey into Ravensburg’s past with the help of the historical exhibit of cityscapes then and now.

interesting lectures

Lectures between 9 am and 2 pm should be of particular interest to companies. Some of them happen in a mixed form or online. This includes cybersecurity, cyber attacks, cybercrime, and data protection issues. Another lecture is about financing opportunities for companies on the way to digitization. The virtual hands-on conference revolves around model projects for a sustainable future in the region – with the virtual treasure hunt as a special fun factor.

Hacker School Youth Scholarship

On Digital Day in Ravensburg, young IT enthusiasts can get a scholarship for a course at Hacker School Hamburg. Pupils between the ages of 11 and 18 who attend a school in Ravensburg can register online to win the 12 scholarships. Young people who want to take photos and films can participate as content creators and support the city’s multimedia editor with photos and videos in documenting the digital day.

Seniors learn about the digital world

Seniors will also benefit from Digital Day 2022 through a special program at the Seniors Meeting Venue. Already on Monday, June 20, they can wear virtual reality glasses in the VR workshop “Don’t be afraid of technology” and travel to different places with them. They are supported by students from the Ravensburg Realschule and the company RaumZeit.
