Pokémon GO Fest 2021: You must collect these beforehand
Good preparation is half the battle of GO Fest 2021. You should have collected a good amount of pokeballs and potions before the event starts so that you do not face any problems during GO Fest. We recommend that you collect at least 500 balls, 100 potions and 100 revives beforehand. You should be able to hold this gear for a few hours during GO Fest.
But you must also have other items in stock. Raid passes are especially important on Sundays, so it’s best if you’ve already purchased this month’s offer chests. This way you can save a lot of coins. Otherwise, smoke, star shard, and lucky egg are still worthwhile. You should also have about 6-8 of these items in stock so you can take advantage of the rewards these items offer for a few hours during the event.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Clean Your Inventory Correctly – Pay Attention to It
An organized inventory is just as important before the event begins. First of all, you have to clean up your Pokemon chest. Get rid of any Pokemon you don’t need. For example, you can use the search filter “0 *, 1 *, 2 *”. Then you will only see monsters with a weak vein and can be leveled. Your goal should be to get at least 300 free slots in your inventory. Other than that, you have to sort through a lot during GO Fest, which only holds you back from catching up.
But your item box must also be cleared. You will get many items from raids, especially on Sundays, so it is best to bring an empty bag with you before GO Fest. Eliminate weak doses, especially berries. You should keep pineapple (silver) and golden raspberries, but with other berries you can at least get rid of so many that you only have a maximum of 20 in your inventory. Also, now is the best time to put rare candy into a rare Pokemon. Legendary Pokemon is especially worthwhile for this.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Plan your route in advance – this is what it should look like at best
A good path rewards you with a large number of Pokémon at the end. Ideally, you should not be playing GO Fest in your small village, but in a larger city that you already know. Then find out about places in the city that have a particularly large number of PokéStops and plan your route there. As a rule, you can find the most Pokémon around PokéStops.
However, when planning your itinerary, note that it is better not to visit places several times in an hour. The eggs change every hour and you can catch new Pokemon at the locations. At best, a strong lap takes about an hour and takes you through new places all the time. This is exactly how you can hunt so many monsters, and the end result, a bag of so many shinys. The many PokéStops on your path will provide you with enough items to catch Pokémon.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Use the most important hours on Saturday – you shouldn’t miss it
There will be four different habitats on Saturday, each of which will be available twice. Different Pokemon appear in the wild for each habitat. So you should mainly take advantage of the hours when especially rare monsters appear. Here is the schedule for Saturday:
- 10am-11am: Jungle Hour with Scyther, Stylus and Froxy
- 11am-12pm: Desert Mountain Lesson with Panzaeron, Schilterus, and Hippopotas
- 12pm-1pm: Seashore Lesson with Dratini, Wablu and Mamolida
- 1pm-2pm: Cave Lesson with Kiesling, Galarian Flunschlik and Kapuno
- 2 pm to 3 pm: A lesson in the woods with Sichlor, Griffel and Froxy
- 3pm-4pm: Desert Mountain Lesson with Panzaeron, Schilterus, and Hippopotas
- 4pm-5pm: Seaside Lesson with Dratini, Wablu and Mamolida
- 5pm-6pm: Cave Lesson with Kissling, Galarian Flunchlike, and Capono
So far, only three Pokémon have been announced for each of the four hours that will appear. Of course, eventually there will be more Pokémon that you can catch in GO Fest. Basically, one can assume that the following types will appear: during the jungle hour there are mainly plant Pokemon, during the desert mountain hour there are mainly earth and steel Pokemon, during the seashore hour there is mainly water – and flying monsters and in the cave clock there are Basically a rock type Pokemon.
Among the Pokemon announced so far, Capono is certainly the most interesting. Pokemon are usually rare and only very few trainers have the illustrious look. So you should definitely take advantage of the two caves watch. Other than that, it’s best to make full use of the first four hours and figure out which one works for you. You shouldn’t miss this lesson for the second time in the afternoon either.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Don’t just focus on Sunday raids – these rewards matter
Sunday is actually all about raids in Pokémon GO, but you shouldn’t just focus on it. Any Pokemon that appeared on Saturday will appear again on Sunday. However, there are no habitats here, but it seems that the Pokemon are very mixed. So you can start searching again on Sunday for the Pokemon you couldn’t get on Saturday.
Of course, the 37 raid bosses on Sunday are also really exciting and shouldn’t be neglected, but the Sunday spawn can be exciting too. Therefore, when planning a raid, also consider the fact that you build in an hour or two to catch a Pokémon.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Make sure you always light a smoke – that’s why it’s worth it
Smoke is perhaps the most important component of GO Fest 2021 – at least if you buy a ticket. For all ticket holders, smoke attracts Pokemon that cannot be caught without a ticket. These monsters include Unown, Despotar and Absol or the regional monsters Plaudagei and Jiutesto. We recommend that you smoke constantly on both days and try to take as many Pokemon as possible with you.
You can only get Shinys Unown F, Jiutesto, and the new Karadonis through smoke. So if you don’t want to miss them, you should light a smoke. Remember that you can now stack items. So light enough smoke right at the start of the event so you can make use of it for eight hours.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Don’t forget the special search – it’s especially useful on the weekend
On Saturday there will be a special research in Pokémon GO about the squad and the mysterious Pokémon Meloetta. This quest should be easy to solve especially on the weekends. So in between all the hunts and raids, you should consider doing your own research. The first details about the special quest from GO Fest have already been leaked, but we’ll likely only know the exact steps on Saturday.
If you don’t complete your quest over the weekend, that’s not a problem either. The search does not disappear and can still be resolved afterwards. But keep in mind that only ticket holders receive this special quest and the missions after GO Fest can be a little trickier.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021: 7 kilometers of eggs can make the difference – these Pokemon are in it
One factor that has not received the same amount of attention so far is the 7 kilometer long egg. In general, the breeding distance is halved, so you only have to cut half the distance for each egg. Fluffeluff, Klingplim and Ohrdoch are included in the 7-kilometer egg, which is very interesting. Ohrdoch was introduced as a brand new Shiny and Palimpalim, Klingplim’s evolution, also got the glam look at GO Fest. So Klingplim may also be offered as Shiny, but that has yet to be confirmed.
So if you have special difficulties with an Ordoch in the wild and cannot find a shiny, then you should rely on the 7-kilometer eggs. May you have better luck out there and find the new luminary. The half-breeding distance should definitely help with that.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Luck eggs are especially important – when should you use them?
On the second day of GO Fest, you must bet your lucky eggs, because all ticket holders will get an additional 10,000 XP for each raid they complete. Plus 10,000 XP per Legendary Raid. If you use Lucky Egg, all XP points will be doubled again. This means that you can get a whopping 40,000 XP per raid.
All ticket holders will get 21 free raid or long distance raid tickets on sunday. If you use the Egg of Fortune in all raids, you will receive a total of 840,000 XP for these raids alone. This should be a big step on the way to getting to level 50, because you usually can’t collect so many experience points so quickly.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Snaps contain surprises – you could be in them
Finally, watch out for the shots in GO Fest. So far, Niantic has only revealed that a “surprise” awaits all the coaches in the footage. What this surprise looks like is not yet known. In similar events, the picks contained rare Pokemon that you should not miss.
So when you have free time, grab a few Pokemon shots so you can take advantage of these surprises. It is possible that the shine you still need is hidden in there. Snaps are easy and don’t take much time. So you should try your luck.
